Your own local physician should be your key advocate in helping you to manage a sarcoma.  Expert opinions can also be obtained at a Sarcoma Center with an appropriate team of dedicated specialists from various medical disciplines, such as medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, orthopedic oncology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, thoracic surgery, pathology, etc.

Dr. Demetri is the Director of the Center for Sarcoma and Bone Oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.  The Center for Sarcoma and Bone Oncology includes several other specialists with dedicated interest and expertise in the management of patients with sarcomas.
